Spoilers (of course).

So Agent Darcy is going to try and prove Jane to be a follower of Red John huh? Well she has her work cut out for her. More importantly, however, why did Jane's boss react so strangely? He laughed when she called Jane a psychopath but then when she accused Jane of working with Red John he seemed more reserved and somewhat amused. Of course he then calmly says he will cooperate fully. His reactions to these situations are always so strange and they keep bringing him back into things when he isn't entirely needed there as the boss. I don't doubt my theory as of yet, it still stands.If you don't yet know what my theory is and you want to know, the following are the few posts I have made so far involving this theory. Time Lord Vortex

I declare that YouTube is a fascinating and dangerous place that exists both within and without time...in other words I think I'm only watching a few cat videos and then five hours later (after watching basically every cat video in existence)...my brain has melted and I have ceased to exist.

I have just pulled myself out of one of the most dangerous worm holes one could ever fall in. I got sucked into a David Tennant vortex for over 3 hours (possibly over 4...I lost track of time). It started with Doctor Who scenes, then interviews, then behind the scenes stuff, then comedy show appearances, then stuff about his other stuff, then it all lead to Much Ado About Nothing and digitaltheatre.com. I would have only been at it for maybe just an hour and a half (since I was originally just watching the Doctor Who stuff) if I hadn't stumbled on one short video that sent me to the entire show it was taken from. This...was that video.

It was over from there. I couldn't stop myself from clicking on all the videos in the side bar and at the end of each clip. It was a David Tennant monsoon. Let me tell you, it was a tough vortex to climb out of but I'm glad I did cause my head is starting to hurt and everything I think is spoken in his voice in my head...everything. As I say the words I am typing now in my mind...I hear him speaking them in his outrageously amazing accent. I can't get enough of the man. Oh dear...if you don't hear from me again for a while...the vortex sucked me back in tomorrow.

Well, back to YouTube for my daily subscriptions...I can only hope I don't see another David Tennant video in the sidebar that I haven't already watched.

Red John theory - updates galore

This update was written as I watched the show (I paused it in order to write thoughts before continuing onward) so some thoughts develop and build on each other as I go and some bits may seem a bit choppy but I tried to clean them up a bit and make them easier to read. Here we go.

Red John theory update 2/2/2012

The fact that agent Darcy is sitting inWainwright's, office telling him that she is going to keepinvestigating The Panzer Murder (Red John) is enough to make me suspicious. I have a good badfeeling about this situation. :) He seems calm, cool, and complying butalso a bit nervous. Something is going to happen. Red John is goingto know because she is telling him straight out. This should be a fungame for him. Also the fact that they have to show this scene of hertelling Wainright (when we don't see him often anyway) brings moresuspicion on him. They had to invent a seminar he was going to teach (that Lisbon was going to attend) so they couldhave an easier transfer from Pattrick's call to get Lisbon out of the seminar to Wainright and his meeting with Darcy.

Wainwright is putting together all theRed John files that are available and he is being super secretive (heshuts the blinds). As he signs it over to the guy who is to hand it over tothe FBI agent he says: “I want you to listento me very closely. This is a highly sensitive issue. You are not totalk to anybody about this. Do you understand? No one.” The man replies: “Yes sir,whatever you say.” Wainright then goes on to say: “Okay if somebody comes looking for the RedJohn case files or asks where they've gone, you are to inform meimmediatley. I cannot express enough the importance that this remainsecret.”

Agent Lisbon walks in when he finishes his sentence and hestarts acting nervous. He then gets short with her and the man (who she is chatting with), cuts offtheir conversation and says “okay, that's enough, back to work.”He then looks angrily at Lisbon as the guy leaves. “Did I call foryou?” She explains how she wanted to appologize for missing the seminar earlier. He ignores that and then says: “Would it be toomuch to ask you to schedule a regular meeting rather than barging inhere like this?”

Luther is very much on edge. He then has to calm himselfdown and act personable again as he asks her how the case is goingand says he'd like to catch up on it. Again, that look on his face as she leaves...I don't know, it seems to say that he knows he let his temper slipand he's wondering how this will play out later. Then he walks overto the pile of boxes with all the evidence and puts his hand on it asthe screen goes to black.

Note: Why does he need 45 minutes before he goesto hear about/catch up on their case). What if he took something from the case files?

Luther then goes and acts interested in their case but once he gets a call, he leaves them too it and runs off. It's Agent Darcy (the caller). She says she got thefiles and asks if he told “his people" about it and he says: “No,I saw no need.” So the FBI didn't say not to tell anyone...he just chose not to. Heis very grave, serious, and distracted right now. He seems to have been just acting like he wanted to be caught up with the case to distract Lisbon from his anger earlier. Honestly this could all just be their boss trying to keep them out of trouble (as he knows what Red John does to Jane) but I don't think that's it. He doesn't seem all that surprised and adamant against the fact that Red John could be alive and that he killed Panzer.

Darcy goes to talk to the M.E. at themorgue where Jane brought the blind girl to see if the guy he killed was RedJohn. He tells her the visit was odd as the girl was blind. She wasconfused by this.They keep making a big deal of not spreading theword (as she tells the M.E. not to tell anyone and he complies) which means that the word is going to spread (or already has) to Red John. Red Johnis going to know which will tell us, yet again, that he has connections and that he is very very close to this case. In my mind, that means that dear old Wainwright, as Ifelt at the very end of his first episode/appearance on this show, isRed John.

Susan Darcy goes to talk to RoselynHarker (the blind girl). Roselyn was checking to find out if the manwas her friend Roy. Darcy now knows the dead guy wasn'tRoy.

Roselyn calls Jane and tells him thatRoy came to see her. Roy is freaking at her house when she calls! (sorry...got a tad excited)Roselyn says he says to tell him, and the Darcy woman, that this was all a mistake and that “he'sgoing to clear it all up.” His hands are young, you can't see his face or much of his build, as he sits in the high backed chair where you can't really see even his hair, but you can see his hands. They are young, so he's not an oldman though I could already tell that from a much earlier episode where, though he disguised it, you could hear youth in his voice. He doesn't speak, of course, as he sits in the chair. If Jane doesn't know himwhy would he not speak (or disguise his voice like last time)? He has a familiar voice to hide from Jane. Also, thefact that he only mentions Darcy and not Jane's boss (when he mentions that he wants Jane and the Darcy girl to know he is going to clear things up) that brings more suspicion to Wainwright.

Jane went to go and get the FBI (after the call) andthey go to the house. Roy left as soon as he found out Jane wascoming, he isn't there. But, there's blood leaking out from under one of the doors. Themorgue attendant is dead in the closet. Oh my my my only a few peoplewould know about this, about the morgue visit and the fact that the guy remembered it. >:) This is getting juicy.

Remember that feeling I mentioned in the post when I first established this theory (the feeling I got when I just suddenly knew it was Luther)? That feeling is back. The last few episodes haven't had much Red John evidence nor have they really shown Wainwright very much (which is odd cause they tend to usually show the bosses a lot more, or at least it seems like they did but maybe not). Because of this, I've felt rather normal watching the shows and no excitement over my theory. This episode re-ignited the fire. I am as sure as ever that Luther is Red John.

Too bad...he's kind of cute (which actually makes the idea of him being Red John all the more fun for some reason).

White Collar and Blue Collar

Last night was the mid-season premier of two of my favorite shows and I watched them both back to back. The first was White Collar which is continuing it's 3rd Season after a long hiatus.

The other show was the first episode of Season 3 for Justified.

Both episodes were thoroughly enjoyable. In White Collar, Burke gets to see Neal show his true colors when he finds out that he chose him and the FBI over the treasure. Definitely a heart warming moment there and the exciting thing about it is that Neal receives a letter telling him there will be a hearing in 3 months to discuss his release from the anklet. He could finally be free and I think he should be. The episode itself also resolved a lot of problems for everyone...though I kind of doubt that we won't ever see Keller again, he's too fun to hate.

In Justified, we find that Raylan, once again, ends up shooting someone in the season premiere. Even though he's on light duty (due to the gunshot he sustained in last seasons's finale) he ends up getting in trouble with an assassin. Good old Raylan, we always know he's going to shoot someone dead even when his shoulder is injured and he is significantly less good at shooting due to that fact. Also, he gets in a fight with Boyd but that's no surprise at all.

I really enjoyed both episodes and I'm extremely excited for the coming season for both.

Red John theory update

Alrighty, new update. It is a very small one but an update none the less.

In tonight's episode of The Mentalist, there is a development involving Red John and an FBI agent looking into the case of James Panzer who appears to have been killed by a Red John copycat (though we know it's the real Red John). The CBI is sent a stalking video of the FBI woman and Jane knows it is Red John playing with him. The clue I find in this one is that the FBI agent comes asking Jane and the CBI about James Panzer and Red John and that very night this video and message from someone (someone Jane knows is Red John) is sent. Obviously it is someone with eyes and ears within law enforcement (more than likely the CBI) or they would not have known about the FBI woman's involvement so quickly. Granted she has spoken to other agencies (like the one where Lisbon's old partner works) but it is still all within law enforcement. Even if he did find out through other sources, the fact that he waited until the FBI agent came to talk to Jane about it (before stalking her and playing with him) means he knew exactly what day she had come to see Jane. This tells me that my theory still stands strong.

Of course Jane had to do some questionable things to get the FBI agent to close the case without revealing Red John's existance and Red John is, no doubt, going to have something in store for Jane for taking the fun he was going to have messing with him and the FBI woman so there will be plenty more to glean from the coming episodes. Looking forward to some more evidence and revelations about this illusive and crafty killer.

Some confessions

Alright, so it has been a little while since my last post and a few things have entered my life and become obsessions since then. I've started watching some shows like Merlin and such, but there are two particular things that I am both hesitant and excited to tell you about.

One...Vampire Diaries.

I know I know...but it's so awesome! I honestly find this show extremely entertaining and the fact that a lot of the guys in it are super cute (really unrealistic for such a small town but I'm okay with that) only makes it better. There is one thing about this show that does bug me a little...I feel like every episode could be a season finale. I do like how they keep the action going and new things are always happening, but when every episode has a cliff hanger at the end it tends to get exhausting to watch because you get four or five episodes deep when you only planned on watching one that night.

Sadly, that was the one confession I didn't want to make. You would think this next one would make me more hesitant...but I'm actually more excited to tell you guys this. I am officially a Brony. :D

This is my pony self. I created one for each of the girls in my YouTube collab channel and this one's mine. :) I have watched all the episodes of Friendship is Magic and I am dying for it to start up again. I even bought one of the episodes to put on my iPhone for my flight to North Carolina this last weekend. I am loving it. As a child I collected My Little Ponies and now I'm starting all over again with my Twilight Sparkle throw blanket and the carry on case I painted on for the trip. Behold...My Little Carry-On.

I get my own humor

I don't know what it is about the things I write and the videos I make, but I often find that they entertain me just as much as those videos of my subscriptions box. Is it sad when someone keeps going back and watching all their own videos (wait...don't answer yet the question isn't completed) and laughing out loud? I am my own entertainment.

I mean, I guess it's a good thing that I do things that entertain me as it means my videos are on par (in my mind) with some of the bigger YouTubers (minus the money and the equipment). The real test, however, is whether other people are entertained by me. Well that's a hard thing to determine cause I know nothing about using keywords and other means to gain exposure for my videos and those videos that do have more views...they stink. In fact, the video of mine that has the most views (it's coming up on 8,000 and I posted it a year ago) is also one of the worst ones I ever made...yet there are people who like it (which is pretty much the only reason it's still on YouTube).

This post is turning into a serious question isn't it? Well...I really do want to know. How can I know if others are as entertained by my stuff as I am? Am I a sad sad little person sitting here alone in my room and laughing at my own videos when no one else cares to? I sincerely hope not. O_O

Well...I had better go and re-watch my collab channel vlog for today again, I think I could use a laugh right now.

Just so you know...there are spoilers from tonight's episode of The Mentalist in this post so do not read any further until you have watched it.

Though there isn't much to report on my Luther=Red John theory as of yet (though the fact that Red John found James Panzer so quickly points to, once again, connections in the CBI and FBI), but I would like to note that bit of genius that Pattrick used to get James (the San Joaquin Killer) off the streets. Since no one could touch him or get evidence on him, Jane prodded at his one weakness, his pride. During the interview he kept trying to put down James' high view of the killer and saying he was not comparable to Red John. His pride hurt, James said some things about Red John that Jane knew (and that I knew he knew) would draw out Red John for the kill.

Jane accomplished two things with this bit of genius. One, he got the San Joaquin Killer off of the streets. Two, Red John is back in the game. This is getting exciting. :)

Day One of NaNoWriMo

Grimm

So I finally did get the chance to see the full pilot episode of Grimm and let me tell you...this is exciting. So far I am really enjoying the show. The acting is great, the story line is intriguing, and add on the fact that I totally guessed that (spoiler alert) his boss at the police station was a bad guy (when I watched the 20 minute extended preview of it a few days ago) and found out I was right at the end of the episode, and you've got yourself a loyal fan to the show.

I have always loved fairy tales and different takes on them (Beastly, 10th Kingdom, Tin Man, Alice, Jack and the Beanstalk the Real Story, etc.) hence why I am also starting to enjoy "Once Upon a Time." As far as over all quality and potential, however, Grimm takes the cake (if by cake I mean one laced with a dose of magic and prepared by the careful hands of one who knows their trade well...if by one who knows their trade I mean the staff of the show). I highly suggest that you watch the pilot episode. If you love fairy tales, new and interesting shows, and cute cops who have extraordinary abilities...you'll love this.

Once Upon A Time

I was about to do a bit of reading and then go to bed when I happened upon Hulu (well I went there on purpose) and I found the pilot episode of the new show "Once Upon A Time." I completely forgot it was supposed to premier yesterday. Needless to say I was super excited and watched it.

Initially some of the graphics seemed a bit cheesy and such but I got over it quickly. As a fan of Sci Fi series' and low budget films and such I can usually overlook it easily. I'm glad I did. I think this is going to be a fun new show. I love all the connections to fairy tales as well as the connections in the real world from the old world (if that makes sense).

I'm already intrigued about where the story is going to go. Whenever a show or movie can give me that weird fluttery feeling in my stomach, I know it's going to be a good one (as long as they don't screw it up). So...even though I already have way too many shows on my plate and I know that this is going to send me spiraling into an obsession with fairy tales(especially since I've already found myself drawn to the new show Grimm as well, even though I did only see that extended preview of it), I have decided to add this show to my queue.

This should be fun...and magical. ;)

A HISTORY OF CAPS LOCK DAY (ACCORDING TO ME)

ONCE UPON A TIME THE INTERNET GATHERED TOGETHER (IN A GATHERING OF SORTS) AND BEGAN TO DISCUSS HOLIDAY IDEAS. WHILE MOST OF THE SUGGESTIONS WERE EPIC AND TRULY WORTHY OF THE INTERNET COMMUNITY, THERE WAS A CERTAIN GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT FOUND THEMSELVES GRUMBLING BOTH ALOUD AND IN THEIR COMMENTS (AS USUAL). THE TROLLS.

THEY CAME FORWARD AND THREATENED TO CONTINUALLY CALL EVERYONE "GAY" AND "FAKE" IF THEIR DEMANDS WEREN'T MET. THE GATHERING FELL SILENT. ONE PERSON STEPPED FORWARD AND SUGGESTED, IN A VERY LOUD VOICE, THAT THERE SHOULD BE A DAY TO CELEBRATE THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON AS IT WAS THE ONE KEY ON HER KEYBOARD THAT SHE USED THE MOST.

THE NON-TROLLS CAME TOGETHER (IN A GATHERING OF SORTS) OUT OF EARSHOT OF THE OUTCASTS AND BEGAN TO DISCUSS. THEY KNEW THAT HAVING A DAY FOR THE TROLLS AND THE CAPS-LOCKERS WAS THE ONLY WAY TO AVOID AN ALL OUT INTERNET WAR, BUT THEY DIDN'T WANT TO CALL IT "TROLL DAY."

"IT WILL MAKE THEM EVEN MORE INSUFFERABLE IF WE GIVE IN SO EASILY." ONE NON-TROLL WHISPERED.

SO IT WAS DECIDED, IT WOULD NOT BE CALLED TROLL DAY, NOR WOULD THEY TELL THE TROLLS THE DAY WAS FOR THEM. THIS CAPS LOCK IDEA SEEMED ENOUGH TO AT LEAST DULL DOWN THE INSULTS AND THE COMPLAINING.

"THEY WILL THINK WE HAVE LET THEM WIN ONE." ANOTHER NON-TROLL GRINNED.

THEY WERE STILL IN NEED OF A NAME. THEY COULD NOT USE "TROLL DAY" AND "A DAY FOR ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO FIND IT NECESSARY TO YELL EVERY SYLLABLE AND EVERY LETTER OF EVERY WORD THEY EVER SAY" WAS TOO LONG FOR THE T-SHIRTS THEY HAD SELECTED...SO IT BECAME "CAPS LOCK DAY."

AS WE REMEMBER HOW THIS DAY WAS MADE, LETS NOT LET THE TROLLS THINK THAT THEY HAVE WON. IF YOU CAN'T BEAT THEM, JOIN THEM (OR SO THE SAYING GOES). SO ON THIS FINE "CAPS LOCK DAY," LETS GATHER TOGETHER (IN A GATHERING OF SORTS) AND SCREAM OUR LITTLE HEARTS OUT. IF WE LOSE OUR VOICES BY THE TIME THIS DAY COMES TO AN END, THEN IT WILL HAVE BEEN WORTH IT. SO, SET YOUR KEYBOARDS ON CRUISE CONTROL AND GET READY TO ALL CAPS IT UP.

GO FORTH AND BE ONE WITH THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON.

So, I'll see you with any new updates as soon as I start going through those old episodes again. :)

That Darn Cat

So I have been watching Nyan Cat in the spirit of Halloween as I am going to dress up as her/he/it this year. While browsing through all the different re-makes of Nyan Cat (and laughing my butt off because it's just so amazing), I came across the original .gif file and saved it. I wanted to do something with it (my own re-make) but I wasn't sure what. I was watching the picture move over and over while listening to a song from Deadmau5 when it hit me...MEOWINGTON! The cutest darn cat who just so happens to belong to Joel (Deadmau5). I recreated the image to look like Meowington and added some music notes to the rainbow to make it even more appropriate. I then put my new .gif to "Meowington enables hax" (since the image is all about Meowington after all) but I also decided to go with one of Joel's more popular tracks, "Ghosts and Stuff," for an unlisted video. You know what that means?! It means that just you guys get to see that version (unless I suddenly decide to make that one public too)! Sweet huh? I am going to go back and re-watch all the mentalist episodes (for fun) to get to know Red John again and see if he fits into my theory about his identity. I will be posting my thoughts on those episodes as well as the new ones though I will bunch the old ones into a few posts while each new episode will have it's own post. Before I get started watching, however, I did have one random thought. I remember when Red John somehow convinced that other "Psychic" lady, the red head Jane kind of liked, that she was dead. The interesting thing about Luther is that he majored in psychology. Convincing someone they were a ghost would take a strong knowledge of how the mind works and how it can be bent. Someone with a Psychological background and connections with the CBI and other police departments is who we are looking for (I'll go into more details later). So far...my theory is looking pretty good. :)

I don't just mean the ones that get proved right or wrong within the hour of the episode, but the long term "Ah, ha" moments that seem to stem from practically nothing, a word, a glance, a tone. I get those a lot. In fact I believe I just posted one last night after my guess about that scene in Psych turned out to be true.

For some reason I just have this innate ability to really understand a story and it's characters and where they are going. Whether it's knowing without a doubt that Snape was a good guy and no traitor, or seeing that the good guy was not who he appeared to be miles before everyone else, I can usually spot it. I'm not gloating about it, it's just how I am. There have been those few moments when I have been wrong and I love it all the more. When I am right, which is often (and that fact tends to annoy my family because I always have to make my guesses out loud due to the fear that no one will believe that I knew it when it turns out to be true), I get a sense of validation that I am good at this. When I am wrong, which does happen, I find myself feeling happy as well. I like when a writer can twist me around because I want to be that writer. I want to surprise those readers and viewers out there who are as observant as me. That being said, I also like it when someone can guess where I am going because then I know that I am giving them that validation. In short, I love it whether I am wrong or right...I do, however, tend to like being right more.

Now, to the purpose of this post. Tonight I had one of those "Ah ha" moments. If you watch The Mentalist and you don't want my guesses to skew your own view of the show or to give anything away (in case I am right) then you may just want to stop reading now because I think I know who Red John is.

Let me start with the moment that triggered this as it was small, almost inconsequential (and for all I know the writers put it in there on purpose so that someone like me would pick up on that and head in the wrong direction with their theories...they may want to surprise me later by showing me that I'm wrong, but I feel like I am right). The moment was so small you could almost call it a micro expression (I've been watching too much Lie To Me lately).It was at the end of tonight's episode, "Ring Around the Rosie," when Jane is talking to their new (very young and good looking) boss. For most of the episode my mind was set on figuring out where I'd seen the guest star/bad guy in before but once I'd figured that out (he was Dexter's brother), my mind was freed up to see other things.

Jane was sitting, a large grin on his face, as the boss (I believe his name was Luther) was talking about his observations on Jane, comparing him to a personality/behavioral test (Psycopathy test I think is what it's called) they had secretly managed to take on their bad guy earlier in the episode. When he is done is tells Jane: "Congratulations Jane, according to the score you are a clinical psychopath." They seem to be friendly during this exchange and then Luther says, "Now I know what I'm dealing with, so I'll adjust accordingly." He has an odd sort of smile (it barely reaches his eyes) when he says this and at first I didn't think anything of it, but then he turns and leaves and as he passes Lisbon, his back to both of them, there is this really odd look on his face. I can't quite explain it. It could be construed as his own emotions kind of mixed up in Jane, like he's not so sure how working with him will go but he's kind of liking him at the same time...but I don't think that's it. Maybe it's because I've been watching too much Lie To Me lately and I'm reading too much into it, but I feel like that look on his face along with the look he had when saying "I'll adjust accordingly" is the look you would find on a cat who has just fooled a mouse into thinking he is not a cat or a wolf who has cleverly disguised himself in sheep's clothing. He walks with a strange, almost triumphant confidence down the hall too which struck me as odd. Then the fact that Jane then says to Lisbon "I like our new boss, I think we'll work very well together." struck me as further proof. Though it is meant to rid me of doubt about the new boss and make me trust him and like him as Jane does, I can't quite believe it. Knowing how stories go, how writers are, and how this show and this type of show is...I think Jane will find that he is becoming friends with the very man he wishes to kill. Take the phrase Luther spoke earlier and the expressions that screamed at me (in fact the revelation I had made my stomach do flips, I felt really strongly that it was true and I hope it is because it is EXACTLY what I would have done as a writer with this story) and put it in the context of Luther as Red John. "Now I know what I'm dealing with, so I'll adjust accordingly." I am not so sure he was talking about work.

What I am saying here, is I think Luther is Red John. I know my evidence is small and, again, inconsequential, but for some reason that look, that look in the hallway...it said it all. That one look made me look back at his words to Jane, at his face. I feel it, I feel the story moving in that direction. I don't know if I'm right, but I feel convinced of it now. If I were to choose anyone to be Red John at this moment in the show, it would be him. It's the perfect way to compromise Jane, to rid him of his arrogance, to make him feel helpless and tricked when he finally does find out who Red John really is. The writers have set this up perfectly and the story could be great and gut wrenching. Red John isn't some stranger he has never met before like the man he killed in the last episode of season 3. When he finally is revealed, Red John will be someone Jane knows, someone he never expected. Red John will have weaved his way into Jane's life so that by the time he reveals himself...Jane will be trapped so tight that breaking free will become far more painful than it ever would have been before. The worst enemy often turns out to be the best friend. He has already used others to try and get into Jane's life...now Red John will step up and do things himself. The game has changed, most of the world thinks he is dead aside from Jane. Now he must step it up and get involved personally. This is how it works, it's how a really good story must unfold. Though other candidates may show up later in the season, I am inclined to think he will be there early on, in fact that he is there now. I am going to stick with this theory until something comes up to prove otherwise (though I will always evaluate all "proof" carefully before changing my theory) but I am not sure that I can be convinced otherwise. This is my theory.

Luther is Red John.

P.S. I went back to when he first meets Jane in the episode and he seems to be so eager which could be entirely innocent but I don't know. He also give a really odd laugh with a very very knowing smile on his face when Jane, in response to Luther saying he was still making his way through Pattrick's file as it was heavier reading, says: "Do me a favor and don't tell me how it ends." Then there is the part where he lets Jane have his way with this idea/plan of his but not Lisbon. Again, could be innocent but he could also be doing it just to see how Jane works when he is given the slack to do so. He wants to get to know Jane and may be using him even as it appears that Pattrick uses Luther to get the results (arrest) at the end of the case. Oh ho ho (sorry, re-watching bits and pieces of the episode and writing this as I do so) and Luther was the one who gave Rigsby the questions (the Psych ones he evaluated Jane with) to use on the suspect...interesting. Then, at the end, he is sitting all creepily in Jane's spot on the couch, waiting for him basically. And that whole thing where he says that the more time spent with the subject you are reviewing (with that test thing) the more accurate the results...Red John has spent a lot of time with Jane. >:) Anyway, I'll have to look for more stuff in coming episodes. This should be fun. :) If I'm totally wrong, at least I'll know that I could have twisted this story this way easily....but I'm not wrong. ;)

Gonna Psych you out in the end

So I watched the first episode of season 6 of Psych (of course I did, don't be stupid!) and it was amazing. Thie episode had a lot going for it and the fact that Star Wars was involved...well...it was perfect. I think my love of this episode was really helped along by the fact that my theory about the outcome of a certain preview (posted below) turned out to be entirely correct! I am such a genius...or I'm just really good at understanding stories and their structure. All I know is that the scene was amazing as was the last shot (and the hilarious Psych out moment during the credits). I completely forgot to look for the pineapple because I was so caught up in the whole episode (as per usual). In case you didn't notice, I decided not to spoil anything here so that you could go watch it yourself. So do it. Now. Do iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

You know...my tastes in music are so random. There are all sorts of artists I love to listen to to the point that I enjoy almost everything (aside from scremo and hard rap). The odd thing is, however, that there is one genre of music that I enjoy that really doesn't fit my personality at all. Yeah I'm a YouTube nerd (which actually got me into the music) but I am also a sweet, fun loving, some what quiet person...yet I listen to Dubstep/Electronic type stuff (esp. Deadmau5). How weird is that? One thing is for sure, my mom would hate this music, she can't even stand the bass in Party Rock Anthem (another song I flippin love...maybe that's why I love Dubstep so much...the bass). Well...maybe I can get you hooked too. Here's a couple of my favorites.

As a true nerd and zombie enthusiast, I have (of course) been obsessed with the new series "The Walking Dead." The sad thing is...I get scared really easily but I am so in love with the story I just can't stop. I watched the first season as it came out and I have been waiting forever and ever and ever for the second season. Lately I have been wanting to get the first season so I could watch it again. No more waiting.

Just barely, I logged onto Netflix to start watching some more random Japanese shows (we finished Playful Kiss today) and I about screamed (whether it was a happy scream or a terrified scream is something you are going to have to imagine for yourself because I'm not telling). The first season of "The Walking Dead" is now available for streaming. I was already excited enough that season 3 of "Lie to Me" and season 5 of "Psych" were added and now I am twice as excited.

Netflix...I love you.

I think that there is something I need to admit to you guys...I have been spending a lot of time watching a Japanese show called "Playful Kiss" on Netflix. I walked into my sister's room and she was watching it, I sat down for a minute and that was it. How can a show so dramatic, ridiculous (yet hilarious), and frustrating be so hard to stop watching?!

The interesting thing about watching Japanese shows (like anime) is that their culture is so different so there are moments when some context doesn't make sense with the translation of what they are saying (or it does but their words seem harsher than the characters seem to take them). Then, of course, there is the fact that they are actually speaking Japanese. The odd thing about it is...you kind of forget they aren't speaking English after a while.

Anyway...confession done. I had better go see if my sister is watching a new episode without me. It's basically all we have done today (other than yard work...gross). Hopefully I can do something more productive tonight like working on music or on my Harry Potter poster. ;)

It's been a while

Well, little update. According to Pottermore I am actually not a Hufflepuff (I was just getting used to the idea too). JK Rowling and the sorting hat tell me that I am (da da da da) a Gryffindor. Who knew? So it seems a little re-decorating is in order! ;)

So what to say? Well, I've been doing my little Pottermore beta version test run fun, I've made some new items for my etsy shop, I've continued to be a huge nerd, etc. Danielle and I went to the midnight showing of Deathly Hallows part 2 (of course) and I really should have posted a long excited ramble on here but I have been writing a lot on our join blog lately which tends to cause me to neglect this one. Well...NO MORE! Now that I've re-decorated the blog and started working on pages as well as the layout, I am going to be posting more often.

I will never shop anywhere else again...well accept for amazon.com of course...and maybe the grocery store...and maybe Barnes and Noble.

You see, in my last post I mentioned that I had an amazon gift card and that I wasn't sure what to use it on...I found the perfect item. Luckily amazon and many other companies work together on the same site so I stumbled across the oh so wonderful think geek (which I was actually already subscribed to on youtube I just hadn't ever actually been to their website yet) which brought to me many money spending options. The item I finally settled on was chosen simply because it made me laugh so hard I couldn't breath. By the time I woke up (after passing out from the lack of oxygen my brain was getting due to the laughter) I had clicked the "add to cart" button...the point of no return.

Let me just say, this can of unicorn meat is all I hoped it would be.

Of course...Katara doesn't seem to be too thrilled about my recent purchase, but I am.

I am also changed forever. I think I spend more time on think geek looking for future purchases (like the star trek enterprise pizza cutter I absolutely must have) than I do completing productive tasks. I love the internet and boy do I love the nerdy things you can find on here.

Okay so I have the Amazon rewards card (because I spend so much on there and the only thing I ever use rewards for is amazon gift cards anyway so...yeah) and I was able to redeem some points for a $25 Amazon gift card. It has been sitting here for three days (unheard of) because I don't know what to get.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!

I think my problem is that there are a lot of things I COULD get (my wish list has plenty of items in it) but I just don't know what to spend my gift card on...what do I want right NOW? (Look at me, writing in all capsies, I'm a mess) There is this pretty awesome super mario version of yahtzee...but there is also a super mario monopoly. UGH! I mean...I already have the Lord of the Rings Monopoly...but mario...this is sad.

There are a ton of movies and books on there too that I have been wanting...but which ones do I get? Who is worthy of this $25 gift card? I have a feeling this is going to be a long battle. I guess I'll just have to buckle down and pick something. Rest assured, whatever I get... it will be nerdy.

Zazzle just removed all my hunger games shirts for "infringing" on copyrighted material when they do not. The images are entirely mine and copyright safe (no duplicated images or quotes from the novels). I have a feeling they were removed simply because the title of the book was included in the tags on my products and because suddenly it's going to be a movie (more popular). This makes me angry. I am re-uploading these shirt designs and leaving out the title of the book because what I cam up with is entirely copyright safe and they have no right to remove them. Can you tell I'm mad? Oh, I'm mad. >:(

Okay this Seasonal job is turning out to be a time consuming and energy sucking task. Okay so first off, it is very exciting that the cast for The Hobbit has now been confirmed but what makes it twice as exciting is that Richard Armitage is set to play Thorin Oakenshield. Okay if you know me well, you know that I am completely obsessed with BBC's show Robin Hood and aside from my true love, Jonas Armstrong (Robin), there was another actor in that show that I found down right dreamy.

Richard Armitage, who plays Guy of Gisborne (the Sheriff's right hand man), is an amazing actor and he is quite good looking (though he will never be as amazing in my eyes as Jonas Armstrong is).

Anywho, the point is...when I saw his picture among those casted for the movie...I SCREAMED! I didn't scream out loud, that would be girly. No...I did that silent scream like when you are up reading late at night and something happens in the book that you had guessed or that you were so excited about so you just kind of scream really quietly. Yeah.

I LOVE Lord of the Rings and I LOVE Robin Hood and now those too loves are colliding in such a fantastic way. I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED! LOOK AT ME, TYPING IN ALL CAPS...IT'S NOT EVEN CAPS LOCK DAY ANYMORE!!!!

Though I have been trying my hardest to avoid it... I started watching The Event. The funny thing is it's frustrating yet addictive. I told my friend that their goal was to make it more confusing than lost while keeping it just as addictive. Then I mentioned that it was like the producers took Lost, Caprica, 24, and Flash Forward and made a super show baby out of them all. The best part is... she told me that there is an ad that says "Lost and 24 had a baby...The Event." No Way! If anyone can find this ad for me, I will love them forever. Breanna out. Today we commemorate a man that has forever changed my life and most likely yours. His accomplishments have brought to life a world of wonder and amazement that I could not live without. Had Christopher Columbus not sailed a glorious new ship of creativity and magic in his attempt to take a popular Children's book and make it into a Hollywood hit, my life would be a misery.

Though he only directed the first two Harry Potter films, he started something that cannot be stopped. The world of Harry Potter will live on in infamy and will shelter all those children who are forgotten or who feel out of place. Christopher Columbus has truly done this nation (nay, this world) a great good.

That is why today has been selected as a day to honor him and his many accomplishments... what? What do you mean that's not the right Chris Colo? What? Who cares about some guy who sailed a boat, lots of people sail boats. 1492?! That was so frikin long ago whocaresthat'sdumbhedoesn'tdeserveadayIthinkyouneedtogetoveritandliveinthetimesjeez!

Where was I... oh yes. Without Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire, Bicentennial Man, Percy Jackson, and expecially Harry Potter, my life would not be the same. Thank you Christopher Columbus.

Glee brings back old Television memories

As I watched this weeks episode of Glee I found myself remembering more than just the struggles that friends of mine have gone through when it comes to believing in God. As much as I'd love to talk about my spirituality here, that is not what this blog is about. So, instead I will talk about the other memory it brought up.

All of the songs in this episode were great and they were sung so well, but my favorite was the one at the very end. "One of Us" has long been one of my favorite songs. I have toyed with the idea of making a video of me singing it and, if I do, I will post it on this blog. For now, however, I would just like to share the scene from Glee with you guys. This song is very powerful and I love it for that but I am also attached to it for another reason.

Over the years I have watched a lot of television and I have had many shows pass through my regimen. There were several that I watched when I was in middle school and the beginnings of High School (ALIAS, Crossing Jordan, Tru Calling, etc.) but there was one that I particularly enjoyed and that was Joan of Arcadia.

The story is sort of a modern play on the story of Joan of Arc. A young girl finds that she can communicate with God and he comes to her in different forms. Though he is not helping her to fight a physical war (like the original Joan) he comes to her and asks her to help others who need him. Through Joan God manages to help a lot of people and, through this experience, Joan helps herself and her family. It is a wonderful show and I hope to find it on DVD some day because I miss it.

J. K. Rowling, a role model

Like a good Harry Potter nerd, I watched all of J. K. Rowling's interview with Oprah and I have to stay that my view of her has changed a little. I have always loved her (she is one of the authors who inspired me to be a writer) but I used to think she was a little stuck up. I think, from this interview, I have found that she is not.

Rowling is a very classy, intelligent lady who has learned a lot from her life. She has taken what she has learned and passed it on, through Harry, to her readers and that is just so wonderful. My story will never be as amazing as hers, but I hope to emulate her strength in my own struggles to become an author.

Castle is back baby!

Being your average crime drama loving writer, I can't help but feel a tad excited when I see that Castle, along with many many other awesome shows, has started it's new season (you gotta love the fall).

A couple of nights ago, despite the late hour (1:00am), I stayed up to watch Castle because I saw it on Hulu and just had to watch it. I mean, what could be more awesome than a witty writer who helps solve crimes and never fails to slip a joke or two into his dialogue (Other than maybe an extremely hot white collar criminal who helps the FBI solve other white collar crime cases and has most beautiful deep blue eyes I have ever seen)?!

It's not just the wit and joy of Castle that I'm excited about either. I have a huge long list of shows that I must watch each week and now that fall has come...that list is longer. Thank goodness LOST, Heroes, Legend of the Seeker, and Flash Forward are all over because I don't think I could handle any more right now. So, the following is a list of shows that I currently watch (or was just watching since USA has stopped the episodes of three of my shows until winter...curse them).

Chuck (duh, who doesn't watch Chuck)
Bones
Fringe
Glee (I think most self respecting nerds watch this show religiously)
The mentalist (just started this one actually so I'm trying to find all the old seasons online somewhere)
Supernatural (I have never allowed myself to fall of the Supernatural wagon since the first episode I saw "Bloody Mary" in season one...I love this show)
Dancing with the Stars
Psych
White Collar (if you didn't gather that from the picture above)
Burn Notice
Justified (which is on FX but also doesn't start until winter)
and I am sure there are many many more that I am simply forgetting about at this time.

The funny thing is, I don't actually watch TV anymore. What I don't find on the station's main sites, I watch on Hulu. You may ask, what about reality TV (other than Dancing with the stars of course but I don't consider that reality television, it's more of a competition type show)? Well, I don't actually care for it much. No, I watch YouTube videos instead and seeing as my DVD player doesn't work with my TV...I get all my entertainment right here at my computer (unless I'm reading a good book, then I'm usually crunched in a corner on my bed with my legs stretching up the wall and my blood rushing to my head while I struggle to stop reading so I can actually let my back have a break).

This is going to be an exciting fall. There are a few shows I am thinking of watching too but I need opinions. The show The Event feels a little too over used now. To me it seems like a mix of Flash Forward (which was an awesome show), LOST (Another awesome show), and every disaster movie known to man...and maybe a little 24 thrown in there too. I don't know, I love the guy who created it and all but...I don't know. I also loved LOST and ALIAS and this new J. J. Abrams show, UnderCovers (at least judging from the first episode) is a little sub par. I don't know. I need your help. Aside from the shows I already watch, what shows are you watching? Which ones are worth my time? Which ones are okay? Which ones are horrible? Leave comments, lots of comments. :)

Alright, enough of my blabbing, time to go do something constructive (and by something constructive I mean watch my daily dose of CTFxC and Wheezy Waiter and every other YouTube channel I just had to subscribe to). Peace out nerdies!

I think that once you hit that point where you listen to Wrock more than any other type of music...you've become AWESOME!

I've just been sitting here on my computer, watching youtube videos, working on my book, and replaying Luke Conard's music video for his new Ministry of Magic song, "This Town." I tend to do that, replay things over and over, when I come across something I really like. I really like Wizard Rock.

I love Ministry of Magic the most, out of all Wrock groups, because not only do I love their style and the fact that their music has so much meaning to it, but they were also the first Wizard Rock band I came across. I was obsessed with ALL CAPS (Luke's nerd band with Kristina Horner, a member of The Parselmouths) first and that lead me to MoM. Now...I'm hooked.

I still listen to other music I love like One Republic, Justin Bieber (what are you gonna do about it huh?), etc.; but, out of all that music I own, I listen to MoM more. In fact the only music on my MP3 player right now (aside from a couple of Michael Buble songs, some ALL CAPS, and the soundtrack for How to Train Your Dragon) happens to be all the songs from Ministry of Magic and the song "Open at the Close" by Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls.

I know what you are thinking: "Man this freak is strange, I'm a gonna unfollows rights now." Well, first of all, you think in horrible grammar and, second of all, how was it you were following me in the first place? I've been open about my strange habits and nerdiness from the start. Well, follower's who thought the above, I have a different view of things. Sure, listening to Wrock brings you to a new level of Harry Potter nerd, but it is a good level. Wizard Rock has something to offer that's a little more rare in today's music world (with a few exceptions of course)...it means something.

Part of the reason I studied English, and part of the reason I am a writer, is because literature and other artistic mediums have a lot to offer. There are lessons for us about life and how it works woven into the pages of many many novels, Harry Potter just happens to be one of them. I would go into a huge long explanation of Joseph Campbell's Hero With a Thousand Faces and his study of the heroe's journey...but I'm lazy. Suffice it to say, there is a certain pattern to the journey that every hero goes through in stories from mythology as well as those written and lived today. The best example of the concept is, believe it or not, the Star Wars franchise (especially Luke's journey). George Lucas was a student of Joseph Campbell's and when he was challenged to write a story that followed the steps of the hero's journey perfectly, Star Wars was born.

Many other stories have taken this journey and Harry Potter does it just as well as Star Wars (which is why the two are so easy to compare).

So, because Harry Potter follows the journey, it has a lot to teach us about maturing and finding ourselves along with many other important messages about friendship, loyalty, power, responsibility, the list goes on and on (seriously it does, there are a lot of things to learn from those books).

This brings us back to the subject I started with, Wizard Rock. The best thing about Wrock is that the artists take those lessons that Harry Potter has to offer and puts them into a form that is easier to understand and easier to access...music. THAT is why Wizard Rock is amazing and THAT is why listening to it more than most other music out there makes you awesome...sorry... AWESOME!

So, in an effort to promote AWESOMEness, here is the song for you all to listen too. He did a pretty good job with the video too. He got that new Cannon 7d that I want so horribly bad (and yes that does work grammatically). This new song will be on the 4th Ministry of Magic album. Be excited!

Sad news Sunday

I wasn't going to post today but then I remembered that I mentioned my sick bird (Kiko) in my first post on this blog. Well I am afraid that, just a few days ago, Kiko passed away in his sleep. I am going to miss him a lot as he has been with me for almost ten years now.

I don't want to make this a long post, since it's not really in tune with most of my other posts, but I just thought I should let people know in case there was anyone who cared.

Here is some video of Kiko just two days before he left me. I'm trying to go back and find footage of him when he wasn't sick but I am sad because I think I lost it.

Some day I will get birds again, but for now I want to just keep Kiko in my heart. I'm just glad he's finally able to join Sydney, he was never the same after she died two years ago. I love you Kiko.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

Yeah, I know I already posted yesterday, but I just had to mention this.

So today I got to see Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and lets just say that it's the perfect blend of nerdiness, comedy, and art. It's very different from any movie I've ever seen. It is extremely funny and it is also so nerdy it's completely awesome. The way I'd describe it is a sort of live version of a comic strip/video game. Yeah...it's THAT awesome.

And may I note, randomly, that I find it entirely awesome that the guy who plays Todd Ingram is the same guy who is Daniel Shaw in CHUCK (nerd alert) and Superman in Superman Returns. I mean, I love that Chris Evans was in it and everything (I love Chris Evans), it's just that I found it extremely hilarious that Brandon Routh was in that role (and he did a great job too).

Anyway, just thought I'd mention it because it's jumped up pretty high on my favorite movies list (there are a lot of movies on my favorite movie list). Here's a trailer just for fun.

Greetings Nerds

So my best friend is going to be holding a photo contest on her used bookstore blog (you can find it here) at some point in the future and she has asked me to design some shirts, for my shop, that she might pick from for the prize. Of course this works out for both of us as I get to create some new, awesome, nerdy merch and she gets to snag an awesome prize for a little less than it would cost to get a snorg tee or what not.

There is nothing more exciting for me than having the chance to design something that is book themed (except for maybe designing something movie themed, YouTube themed, Pokemon themed, etc.) so I am going to let you guys in on the process of this new project. The idea is that I am going to create a series of these shirts that sort of symbolize some of people's favorite books.

So, what I need from people, are lists of their favorite books. They can be new, they can be classics, whatever you want but please don't suggest any inappropriate books. I will only choose a few of the suggestions.

So far I've chosen to do Harry Potter (of course), Twilight (unavoidable), Jane Austen (basically all her books will fit into the one design anyway), Percy Jackson (oooooooooooooooof course), and possibly some Shakespeare. I already have some Hunger Games shirts but I am also thinking of doing one for that as well or one for each of the books (since they each have different themes, in a way).

So, that is my list so far. I will be adding to it, in my mind, each time I think of something but it would help to get some suggestions from the internet world.

What are some of your favorite books/book series? Please comment below if you have one that you would love to see a shirt design for. I won't tell you exactly what this series of shirts is going to look like just yet, but know that it will be awesome because I am excited. Now, that's enough writing for the day. Oh dear...I sound like Dan Brown. I have got to stop spending so much time on YouTube. Well, that's the life of an undercover nerd isn't it.

To start off, I just want to introduce myself. My name is Breanna and I am an aspiring author and youtuber. I am basically busy every day writing blogs and articles, working on my book, making youtube videos, and creating t-shirts, all the while making pretty much no money at all.

I am 22 and I live in my parents basement with a computer full of videos and stories, a bookshelf overloaded with Young Adult fiction, several drawers full of action movies, a bird cage that currently houses a sick little finch (Kiko, he seems to be doing better today, but seeing as I have to keep him warm with a heater...my room is boiling hot right now), a fish tank with three wonderful goldfish (two of them named after book characters), a bazillion stuffed animals, pokemon cards, and a bunch of useless junk that I refuse to get rid of. I am hoping to publish soon (or suddenly get a ton of subscriers on YouTube, which will be hard since I have like six separate channels floating around out there) so I can get out of the basement and move me and all my useless junk into an apartment.

I dream of getting a German shepherd and naming her Zoey (I did choose that name long before I became a CTFxCer) just so that I can call her Z in the same way that they say it in Charlie the Unicorn 2.

I have, on more than one occasion, taken video of a double rainbow and I have also recorded many of the crazy antics of my two cats.

I love Shakespeare and several Japanese anime shows like Avatar the Last Aribender (and Vampire Knight, that show has the drama of Twilight and a soap opera mixed together in almost every episode).

I spend a lot of time on YouTube (as I mentioned before) and I participate in writing role plays for The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness on The Clan.

I also wrote my own version of Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince before the book came out in which I included an American exchange student.

I listen to wizard rock and nerd bands like ALL CAPS.

When I'm not writing, reading, filming, watching movies, or catching up on my shows (Psych, White Collar, Burn Notice, Castle--duh, he's a writer which makes it ten times as awesome that he solves crime--, Chuck, Justified, etc. etc.), I am playing around with my finicky graphics tablet. Lately I have been creating a lot of t-shirts on zazzle for this blog and for other blogs and books. I've sold quite a few Hunger Games inspired shirts lately, my favorite one being the most popular (yay!) :D Zazzle is basically my only income since I don't get much from writing for examiner.com (I've made a total of about $8 as an examiner this entire summer...I am no good at getting people to read my articles).

So that's me. A penniless starving artist sitting in a boiling hot basement room at her computer (with a bowl of popcorn and Justin Bieber, Taio Cruz, One Republic, and Ministry of Magic in her headphones) watching YouTube videos/blogging about things that don't really even matter to most of the world. This should be a lot of fun. Want to join me? Cool.
